Working with XL Recordings, we redefined how Ibeyi’s album “Spell 31” could be experienced, turning it into a striking visual journey. Inspired by their blend of Afro-Cuban and French influences, we moved beyond traditional music video formats to create a non-linear, artistic narrative. Each track was given its own distinct visual interpretation, following the album’s sequence to form a layered and cohesive story. The result is a series of ten short films, each reflecting the emotional depth and cultural richness of Ibeyi’s music through abstract and powerful imagery. These interconnected visuals come together as a seamless journey, inviting viewers into a world where music and visuals unite, deepening the connection to every beat and lyric.
